Drum Works Furniture @ Henry Ford Museum!

Drum Works Furniture will be on display in a special exhibit -
"Roadside America: Through the Lens of John Margolies " and available for sale in the gift shop.

...

Here's what the museum has to say about the exhibit.
Roadside America: Through the Lens of John Margolies
It’s an all-American road trip you won’t want to miss.
John Margolies has spent decades photographing the quirks and ingenuity of America’s roadside architecture. Margolies doesn’t play favorites, whether he’s shooting a masterful Art Deco movie theater on a quiet main street or a motel with an oddball theme. His greatest admiration and affection are reserved for those entrepreneurial spirits of small-town America as they try to stand out in an increasingly mobile and commercialized environment.

This recently acquired collection documents a form of architecture and design and advertising that’s very homespun. There’s humor, there’s quirkiness. Margolies was willing to look at architecture and details that other people didn’t take seriously and at times didn’t even notice. There’s an emotional resonance that ties to fundamental aspects of American culture. The Henry Ford is acknowledging that and celebrating it.

Quirky. Creative. Fascinating. Take a drive down the byways and back roads of America.
Only at Henry Ford Museum. Limited engagement.https://www.thehenryford.org/museum/exhibits.aspx

DWF Announces Marketing Rep

Drum Works Furniture To Be Represented By Dynamic Marketing Inc.

High Point, North Carolina - Drum Works Furniture, which repurposes 55 gallon steel drums into unique and trend setting indoor/ outdoor furniture, has identified Dynamic Marketing Inc. of Chicago, Illinois as their marketing consulting service.

According to Drum Works Furniture Sales Manager, Kevin Danko, "Having the experience and track record of a firm like Dynamic Marketing, Inc. is what we've been looking for in order to bring our less than one year old brand to the next level."

Drum Works Furniture LLC re-purposes recycled 55 gallon steel drums to form both indoor and outdoor eco-friendly seating that are upholstered exclusively with Sunbrella brand fabrics. The virtually indestructible steel drums used in construction are powder coated in vibrant and durable colors. (Powder coat is an electrostatic applied "paint like" finish that is resistant to rust, scratches and chipping.)

The curved steel back of their most popular seat is a lumbar supporting design while still enabling the product to retain its original character. Whether it is an industrial look, casual or retro; Drum Works Furniture may be just what you're looking for when it comes to unique designs.

What's new for Drum Works Furniture at Spring Market?

Several new models of our "steel back" 55 gallon drum seat have joined our exciting line up and will debut at market in new colors and new fabrics. Additionally, we now use Sunbrella products exclusively in all of our designs.

In addition to the standard arm chair design, a love seat has been created and is now offered in the Top Sail Collection with two arm chairs and a table.

Perhaps one of Drum Works Furniture's most innovative offerings is a whimsical juvenile chair that also functions as a toy box. Like all Drum Works Furniture items, this chair is constructed from a 55 gallon steel drum. Joining the School Bus design for 2014 is a Fire Truck themed chair, which features fire department graphics and simulated diamond plate surfaces and of course; brilliant red powder coated finish.

We're not limited to seating either; Drum Works Furniture's  "Corner Bar",  is a free standing drum that opens to reveal storage of liquor and glassware. The bar has a foot print of only 24 inches when closed.

An added product to the bar line is the new "Car Bar", which is simlilar to the "Corner Bar" except that it is geared for the garage as a stylish storage solution for car chemicals and motor oil. But, it's  not limited to the gaarge, it works very nicely in the home or dorm room too.

We are exhibiting in the Made in America Pavilion at the Suites at Market Square, space # 1-816.
